About the Owner

Owner Operator Matthew Burns grew up in upstate NY trimming fruit trees on farms since age 13. After serving 4 years in the Air Force, he moved to Nashville in 2004 to train under professional arborist and long-time friend Jeff Owen. A year later, Jeff returned to NY to start his own company, while Matt remained in Nashville, where he worked as an arborist for a partnership. Within his first year, he became a partner and was promoted to superintendent, contributing to the growth of the company into a large and successful enterprise. Unfortunately, the partners who dedicated years of service and investment did not receive what was promised, leading to the dissolution of the partnership. In 2010, Matt established ArborJack's Tree Service as a sole proprietorship, starting with just a truck and a chainsaw. He has since grown the company into a trusted name in Nashville tree removal service, focusing on one satisfied customer at a time with professional equipment and trained staff.
